This pioneering study aims to provide an overview of the current level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and related activities of private sector companies in Trinidad and Tobago. This baseline study should support a new generation of CSR projects and facilitate a coherent and effective development of CSR practice in the country.
Conducted between January and June 2007, this study comprises a series of company interviews, questionnaires and, wherever possible, a review of publicly available information on each selected company.
Ninety companies participated in the sample. These included both locally-owned and foreign-owned companies and both large and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within all major sectors of the economy.
The authors of the report are Fabio Balboni, Kelly Bute and Ron Sookram
